Set up JumpCloud integration

Overview:

This guide provides a step-by-step process of integrating JumpCloud IdP with Axiom Security.

Prerequisites:

In order to complete this integration you will need the following:

  1. Axiom Tenant admin access

  2. Administrator user in Jumpcloud

  3. Jumpcloud API Key

  4. Jumpcloud Organization ID

Jumpcloud Side

Create a new administrator

  1. Log in to jump cloud via its admin console (https://console.jumpcloud.com/login/admin) Note: you have to log in with user with the permission Administrator With Billing - which is the role in jump cloud that is considered a Super Administrator. You will have to log with this permission in order to assign a read only role to a user you are creating.

  2. In the top right of the Portal, click the circle with your initials to access your Jumpcloud Account menu.

  3. Select Administrators. The Administrators panel appears.

  4. Click ( + ). The New Administrator panel appears.

  5. Enter a unique email address, then select a Role for the administrator account (Read Only role)

  6. Click Save.

Get an API Key

  1. In the top right of the Portal, click the circle with your initials to access your JumpCloud Account menu.

  2. Select My API Key. The key will appear there.

Get an Organization Id

Under Settings > Organization Profile > General (in the side bar) you will see your organization id.

Axiom Side

In Axiom Security web application, on the left side navigation menu click on “Integrations”.

This will take you to the main integrations screen.

In the “IDP” section, find the Jumpcloud Icon and click on the “+Add” button.

You will be redirected to the Jumpcloud integration details screen.

Now, input the details you have set aside during the Jumpcloud side section.

In the “Name” field choose a meaningful name like “Production_Jumpcloud”. Click on the “Integrate” button.
