Why am I not seeing all my templates in Slack?

Learn why some templates are not available in the Axiom Slack bot

Updated over 7 months ago

When using the /axiom templates command in Slack, you will see a list of templates you can use. Some templates may not be available to you because of one of the following reasons:

  1. You do not have the scopes required for all requests in the template.

  2. You already have an approved access request for any of the permissions included in the template.

  3. You cannot be provisioned with the access defined for one of the requests in the template because you do not exist as a user in one of the Systems included in the template (for example, you are signed in to Axiom as [email protected], but there is no user with the email [email protected] on the AWS account specified in the template).

  4. One of the Targets or Permissions defined in the template no longer exists (examples: the template is for access to three MySQL databases, but one of the databases no longer exists; the template is for access to an AWS account with a specific permission set, but that permission set no longer exists).
