Overview

Access Review Explorer simplifies the process of managing access reviews by providing a comprehensive view of all currently active access across your organization. This includes:

By providing a centralized view of all active access, regardless of its origin, Access Review Explorer empowers you to:

  • Streamline access review workflows: Eliminate the need for manual data collection from disparate systems.

  • Gain a holistic understanding of user permissions: Easily identify users with potentially excessive or outdated privileges.

  • Make informed access decisions: Ensure that access aligns with the principle of least privilege and strengthens your overall security posture.

Using Access Review Explorer

From the left-side navigation menu of the Axiom user console, go to Access Review > Explorer:

Access Levels

By default, the table of active access is sorted by Access Level. Access Level is calculated by a proprietary Axiom heuristics that takes into account the width of the access (how many things can be accessed), and the depth of the access (how privileged is the access).

Filtering, searching, and sorting

The list can be filtered by any value from the table, or by entering freehand text in the search field. The table can be sorted by clicking on any column header. The first click will sort it in ascending order, and subsequent clicks will toggle between descending and ascending order.

To use the filters, press on Add Filter

Select any of the filters, then select one or more values (you can also search for values from the values drop-down selector

Repeat this process to add more filters.

To clear all filters, use the Clear button on the filter bar

Exporting

You can export the complete list, or your filtered list to CSV. The dowloaded CSV file is sorted by the default order: Access Level, and then Role.

The number of rows to be exported appears on the export button

This number matches the total records if no filters are applied. If filters are applied, then the number matches the filtered results. If you select individual records from a page (or all records on a page), that is the number that will appear on the button and will be exported. You cannot currently select individual records across pages.
